This gig was originally scheduled for 8th November1985 but had been rescheduled
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark were still a firm favourite with me and the Crush album was pure pop!
You knew you were going to get a great live show. The only issue for me was the pop was getting quite slow and soft and I was beginning to find my loud and brash musical feet.
Even so, we had a great time as the songs of our years were played out to us again.
I don’t think we bothered with backstage this time, preferring to return to a pub for a beer…..we had moved onto beer by now…and it was Friday, so I expect we carried on into town to meet those who didn’t do the concert 😉
As the article shows though, the boys were always up for meeting with the fans and making their evening.
Once again we came away from an OMD concert smiling and having loved the stage show and music.
