March 24th 1996 – Leicester Arena (De Montfort Uni)

You would think we would have had enough of the Bradford boys by now? Not likely. This had become the ultimate sweat buckets and dance gig of the 90s for us!
I don’t recall the support band, I suspect as it was a Sunday, we decided to have an early beer elsewhere and get in 8:30ish in time for the main thing.
Terrorvision had just released “Regular Urban Terrorists” only a few days before, I reckon I’d only heard “Perseverance” and “Celebrity Hit List” before the concert, but as usual it was sounding like a great mix of pop, tuneful and heavy rock.

Absolutely brilliant concert, as usual, opening with “Alice What’s the Matter” and running through great tracks from all 3 albums. I really classy cover of “Easy” by The Commodores (also of the new album and the other single to come off the album).
Not usually this tired at the end of a Sunday night, we’d normally just be down the local having a few beers to celebrate the end of the weekend! We got a dance break during “Some People Say” and the again during “Easy”, but another pretty full on evening of light hearted heavy rock and dancing.
Reckon we even made the last bus home, but as we would have caught it at New Walk, it would also have involved a Doner kebab from Zorba’s with NO chilli sauce. (Note: If you asked if the sauce was hot, they would always so “no, no, no” – this meant “really hot”…I only learnt this after my third beer induced kebab!)
